JULIAN THE DUKE @SALSATRICITY 13th NOVEMBER

SALSATRICITY EVERY SATURDAY IN THE PAVILION BARNET FOOTBALL CLUB EN5
2BE

8.30-1AM WITH FULL BAR EXTENSION UNTIL SUNDAY 1AM...

"At London Salsa we like to keep up with all things Salsa happening in London so we
went along to Salsatricity on Saturday night in Barnet. Heather and her team teach
Cuban style concentrating on footwork and understanding rather than routines. Being
a trained school teacher she understands learning and has more men than women at
the class (is that a first for a Salsa class?), and judging by the amount of good men
dancers, she seems to be doing a great job. On this night she also ran a Bachata
class. The club was buzzing. Around 120+ attended but there was still enough room
for the dancers to stretch themselves. The music was first class, being provided by
DJ Julian 'The Duke', and the age range was an even mix from 20s right up to 60s. It
was a great night with a very friendly atmosphere and some great dancing. You
should check it out, we'll be going again. LS"

8.30pm doors open @Pavilion Barnet Football Club, EN5 2BE

8.40-9.40pm warm up plus SALSA and RUEDA lessons with experienced, university
and classically trained teachers

9.40 till 1am....bar extension and dancing to DJ Otto....fast becoming one of
everyones favourite DJ's

This is always a great place to dance on a Saturday night. Close to the M25 and
London there is a great mix of guests from all over the southeast. They open from
8.30 until 1am, lesson are of a very high standard and they really take an interest in
each dancer. There are 4 levels from complete beginners to advanced. After the
lesson there is often a rueda or bachata class, or a warm down with cha cha, before
the free style until 1am. The dancers are friendly and of a great standard but it is not
clique or pretentious. There is a choice of two venues each with their own distinct
character, which they alternate, but both have an amazing atmosphere, which has to
be down to the dancers and the team who run it. The Latin Dj always keeps the
dance floor buzzing, and the air conditioning attempts to keep you cool!! They often
have live bands which is always well attended. ENTHUSIASTIC, ENERGETIC,
VIBRANT AND FRIENDLY London Salsa did a great review. www.salsatricity.com for
